Interim Operational Treasury

Location: Belgium (Hybrid, with opportunities for fully remote work)

Role Overview

For a client of us we are seeking a Medior Level Interim Operational Treasury professional. In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational treasury services on an interim basis. This includes managing cash flow, optimizing liquidity, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The mandates offers flexibility, with a hybrid working model and the possibility for fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for clients.
  • Banking Operations: Handle bank account administration, including opening/closing accounts and maintaining relationships with financial institutions.
  • Payments Processing: Oversee the processing of payments, including vendor payments, payroll, and inter-company transfers.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks related to cash flow and liquidity.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular treasury reports and provide insights on financial performance and cash positions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all treasury operations comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their treasury needs and providing exceptional service.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance treasury processes and implement best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an operational treasury role or a similar financial position.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cash management, banking operations, and financial risk management.
  • Proficient in using treasury management systems and financial software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Additional Information

  • Work Environment: This role offers a hybrid working model with the possibility for fully remote work. Candidates should be based in Belgium or near to accomodate going to clients office.
  • Employment Type: Both freelance and payrolling options are available. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the specifics of each assignment.
